Our client owns a beautiful house in Circle C Ranch in the Austin, Texas area. The love their home and plan on staying there. However, they wanted to remove a massive wall to open up the space between the kitchen and living room. But they also wanted to do a complete kitchen renovation. The goal was to open up the living area and kitchen into a broad gathering area for family and friends.
Also, they planned on updating the kitchen with modern features and appliances. The out-of-date cabinetry and poor lighting needed upgrading, and they always wanted a breakfast bar.
Once our clients and interior designer came up with a plan, we demolished the wall impeding the flow between the kitchen and living room. Then, we moved on to the build phase.
We built beautiful custom cabinetry out dark stained Alder wood. The cabinets feature shaker-style doors, but we also installed some open-shelved cabinets by the peninsula. The countertops feature level two Fantasia White Granite that shows well against the Alder wood.
The large pantry area provides ample storage space. We built the cabinetry around the refrigerator and a large double over offering a clean, built-in look. The cabinets spotlight modern features like pull-out drawers for the trash can and for storing kitchenware.
Lastly, a breakfast bar that seats four now sits in the place of the wall we demolished.
As stated above, we wanted to improve the lighting. So we installed recessed, dimmable can lights throughout. Moreover, the pendant lighting over the breakfast brightens up the place as well.
The penny round backplash presents a unique design feature. It shows well against the white farmhouse sink, Alder wood cabinetry, and white granite countertops tieing the room together nicely.
The kitchen spotlights stainless steel appliances throughout highlighted by a large double oven and sizeable french door fridge.
The kitchen renovation provided our clients with precisely what they wanted. We opened up the kitchen and living room into one room significantly improving flow and providing a warm, home-like atmosphere. Besides, they also got the breakfast bar they always wanted and greatly enhanced the look and function of the kitchen. Most importantly, they transformed their house into their dream home.
