We began our search for a firm to remodel our kitchen/guest bathroom in December 2011. We first met with Roy Faust of New Creations in January 2012 and signed a contract with them in May 2012. Work started on May 13 and we did a final walk through with Roy on July 3. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend New Creations. Roy worked very closely with us to get the design right and invested a considerably amount of his time with us before we formally committed to the project. Once we got started Troy managed the project and hit virtually project milestone as scheduled. Troy was very easy to work with and was very responsive to any questions or concerns we raised throughout the project. Roy and Troy make an excellent team. Trust and integrity were very important to us in selecting a firm to work with. New Creations exceeded our expectations and we genuinely liked working with them. We would also be remiss in not thanking Apollo for his attention to detail and the quality of his work. Also, James had many great ideas that we wouldn't have thought of as far as electrical and lighting. Manuel, head of the painting crew, was very quick and professional, even when we changed paint colors on him.
Even after our final walk-through, Roy, Troy, Apollo and crew have been great. A few touch ups needed to be done after they finished, and they never hesitated in getting someone out here. We have been in our kitchen for a about 6 weeks now and love it.
New creations is great at communicating with the client. I think 80% of issues are solved with communication. New Creations does that better than any other service company I have dealt with. They explain details, provide a compete estimate. and then communicate the schedule on line so you know who will be at the house and when they will install various items. Everyone we dealt with were complete professionals, listened to what we wanted and worked hard to provide us a beautiful custom kitchen and bath.
We are very happy with the work provided and will likely use them again for a master bath remodel.Read More
New Creations just finished an amazing remodel of our kitchen and family room. The entire process, particularly the finished product, far exceeded our expectations. Roy is a joy to work with, and his design assistant Erin gave us fabulous ideas. Roy really means it when he says "how can we serve you"? Roy kept in touch with us almost daily through email, phone or text, and was never too busy to discuss our needs. Any anxiety we had starting the project dissolved as we realized Roy and his team’s main concern was making sure we loved our new spaces – and we do!!
We have now been working in our new kitchen for almost a month and I love it more every day. Small issues discovered have been addressed immediately though the project is ended – something I have not experienced before. When we remodeled our master bath several years ago, we were never able to get the contractor to come back and fix pretty big issues and ended up having to hire someone else.
The entire team at New Creations is professional and takes great pride in their work. Apollo Is the master of all trades- there is nothing that man can't do. James, Greg, Gerardo, Wes and our wonderful painters - thank you!!!
My kitchen is awesome! – It has been 3 years since my remodel and I am as happy with the work as I was the day it was complete. The crew was professional and curtious. When they worked, they did their best not to interupt our lives. Not to mention, the work was done quickly and the craftmanship was stellar.
Use New Creations to invest in your home. You will love them and your new space!Read More
Professional and Attentive – Ours was the largest project undertaken by New Creations as of 1/10. We gutted our Master Bedroom, bath and closets, kitchen, laundry room, garage entry and Jack and Jill Bathroom. They were all being done at the same time! This could have been a scheduling nightmare, but Troy seemed to handle it in stride.
Julia was more than successful fitting in all that we wanted in the space we had. We could not be more pleased with the design. Our house feels completely new!
The entire crew, Roy, Julia, Troy, Joshua, Apollo and Juan were very easy to work with. Roy holds each person to a very high standard of professionalism. Even the demo guys were clean and pleasant.
We love our new kitchen! The design is perfect and the quality is very evident. Like most projects we had some hitches, but they were easily worked through.
I can say the entire process was so much less "painful" than I anticipated. I credit the team with their attention to detail, attention to what I was saying, and professional attitudes toward their work product. I can recommend New Creations.Read More
A little let down – When I first met with the people at this firm I was very excited and ultimately chose to move forward with them.
As the project progressed, I became discouraged with the crew and with the follow up.
The designer Julia was ok, and is really nice, but I found her to be a bit patronizing when communicating what she wanted there was also a lack of follow through.
Overall I am satisfied with the project, but I can't shake a feeling let down.Read More
So thankful that I selected New Creations – I wanted my kitchen remodeled and I was willing to buy the pre-fabricated cabinets, find someone to tear out my kitchen and be the boss on my own job. What a nightmare that would have been. I received a couple of estimates from remodelers and one of them took 3 weeks to get back to me with a figure. Neither one of those guys was willing to coordinate any other sub-contractors like plumbers, electricians or any specialty job that needed to be done. So I would have been on my own. A friend of mine highly recommended Roy Faust and New Creations. His quote on my job came in about four thousand more than the other two quotes, but I would be getting CUSTOM CABINETS and someone who knew sub-contractors and someone who would coordinate all of them. I signed up pretty quickly with Roy. He gave me names and phone numbers of clients that he had worked for, he took me to one of his clients' houses to see the work and either he or his assistant, Leah, called me almost every day to let me know what was going on. Roy has his own crew that does most of the work, but he knows and has contacts of people that he has used before and he knows that he can trust their work and most importantly their word. If he feels that they are not accomplishing the best job possible, he lets them go. He just will not put up with it. The plumber that he had hired had been good in past jobs, but on my job the plumber was not following directions. And I was present when Roy was giving instructions, so I know what was supposed to be done. Roy got the job done correctly and I never had to deal with the plumber, nor did I have to pay anything extra for the corrections. All I had to do was have the confidence in Roy and his crew to get the job done right. I never once got upset about ANYTHING, I never had to. The cabinet maker, Scott, is an artist and all contacts that I had with anyone was a pleasure. And my kitchen? A dream come true. Marsha KruegerRead More
Remodeling expert – The guys were great. Our kitchen is now fabulous.
It was a joy to work with Roy and his workers. I don't think I could have found a better team.Read More
Troy Hester should be applauded for not only representing the company well overall, but for his time and effort to keep the customer informed of plans for the week, inclusive of delays of materials and services. Troy exhibited true professionalism and strong communication skills throughout the entire multi-month experience. Roy Faust represented the company with enthusiasm, skill, and professionalism as well. Hats off to New Creations!Read More
We are EXTREMELY happy with the work done by New Creations on our kitchen. Our experience started with Design where Erin worked with us in every aspect of the design and never complained or rushed us when we changed our minds. She accompanied us on all of the supplier visits and was instrumental in us being so happy with the final results. She also staid engaged throughout the project. The Construction phase went just as well. The quality of the workmanship was top notch. No mater how much mess was made, they cleaned up the job site EVERY DAY. The team was always checking in to make sure we were happy with what we saw and it was obvious that they really cared about us, our kitchen and making sure we had a great experience. Roy send us an email with a progress update and next steps almost every day, this in addition to maintaining a complete project list and calendar online that we could review and made our own comments. A couple of time we wanted to make changes in the design after the project was underway and while this is never optimum, Roy and his team went above and beyond to make sure that this process exceeded our expectations. The level of communication, customer focus and quality of the project were outstanding. If you want the best that Austin has to offer in custom Kitchens. I have NO hesitation in recommending New Creations.Read More
New Creations.. Professional in all areas.. they ROCK – I had gotten several bids from other contractors. Roy's bid was quick and professional. He had no problem with giving me an itemized and detailed bid, based on my budget I gave him. Several other contractors just gave an overall price and what they would do for that price. They would/could not give a breakdown. One kept trying to get me to do more than my budget would allow.
Everyone was courteous that I worked with..from employees to contractors. I appreciated someone from New Creations checking on the work, as it went along, from deconstruction to the finished room. My job was not one of their largest, I'm sure, but was a big deal for me.
I was excited to come home every day and see what had been done that day. Their craftsmen clean up after themselves as they go along.
Even though I kept the same applicances ..my kitchen ROCKS . I have had so many compliments. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, their employees and their contractors.
Thank you Roy, Troy, Apollo, Juan, Joshua, Greg.
Once I figure out how to download my photo's from my camera.. I will post a before and after. 🙂Read More
Best Kitchen Remodeler...Hands Down! – Roy (owner of New Creations) worked very patiently with us as we painfully crawled through the design and estimating/ bid evaluation process. He had a lot of great ideas we had not considered when we decided to remodel the kitchen. Once we finally accepted his offer, he very clearly lined out all the steps his team need to do and all the homework we needed to do in order to get all materials and resources in the right place at the right time. The first day of demo was Oct 19, 2011 and the last day of punch list tidy ups was Dec 23. The bulk of all the work and adjustments were completed by the end of November but Roy's commitment to 100% customer satisfaction kept his guys coming back until everything was right per his opinion which in a number of cases was far more detailed than ours. All of his team were very personable and we had no concerns allowing them to work in our home unattended. We got to meet all of them prior to us even signing the contract with New Creations which was just another example of how Roy took uncertainty out of the equation. Add on top this, their use of a web based project planning tool that we were given access to so we could always keep up with what was accomplished by who as well as what was coming and when. The team kept the house very neat considering the level of construction that was taking place and made sure to clean up at the end of everyday. We could not be happier with the final product New Creations delivered for us. The kitchen is far more functional than the original with lots more cabinet and drawer space without adding a single inch of sq footage. From beginning to end, Roy and his project manager, Troy were always responsive by e-mail and phone for any question that popped into our heads and the thoroughness of the upfront planning & design efforts they led resulted in no change orders or other financial surprises (except for items mandated by city code i.e. smoke detectors on every open surface in house it seems, overwhich they had no control). All of Roys' subcontractors took as much ownership of our satisfaction as Roy did for which we are very grateful. We highly recommend you consider Roy Faust and New Creations for your remodeling project, you will not be disappointed!Read More
Our home was built in 1982. The primary purpose of our project was to completely remodel the kitchen to create a brighter more functional space and update all the appliances. A makeover of the adjacent dining room was also planned.
We have been through several small remodeling projects during 27 years in our home and neither of us relished the idea of trying to find suitable contractors or acting as project managers and on-site supervisors again.
New Creations Custom Kitchen and Bath solved that problem for us. We were impressed before our very first meeting when Roy Faust called us to say he would be ten minutes late and “would that be alright?”
New Creations is a high end custom remodeling company offering “turn key” kitchen and bath remodeling services. Their goal is to provide outstanding service and craftsmanship. They didn’t over sell, they did what they promised.
From the design process through tear down and construction, everyone involved with the project was professional and considerate of the fact they were working in our home. Since we live with twelve indoor only cats, that was of special importance to us.
In fact, being “cat resistant” was a major design concern for our kitchen. Roy spent a lot of time learning about our lifestyle as part of his design process. Unlike some designers, he does not try to force his vision on you, but rather tries to pull your ideas out and help you make the decisions.
He is not afraid to suggest bold ideas and if he doesn’t like something, he will tell you. He makes the design process collaborative and fun and is not afraid to consult with another designer to make something perfect.
A highly detailed approach to planning the project with the goal of having all materials on hand prior to starting is an important part of the company’s success. Taking that approach minimizes the risk of delay and allows the customer to see the chosen products before they are installed.
An on-site meeting with all contractors several weeks prior to the planned start date allowed us to meet each of them in person and gave them a chance to evaluate the workspace.
That meeting revealed we would need to upgrade our electric service for the cooktop and convection oven we planned to install and allowed plenty of time to have the work done prior to the project start date.
We were informed there would inevitably be problems along the way, but for us not to worry, they would solve the problems. Again, that is exactly what they did.
New Creations constantly tries to improve their process. Project manager, Troy Hester, was continually on site seeking solutions to every problem and soliciting our input.
The on line system used to schedule contractors and keep customers informed works well and Troy quickly responded to every email inquiry or phone call we made.
We can’t say enough about the craftsmen working for New Creations. Their focus was always on delivering a quality product and satisfying the customer. Compromises sometimes must be made because original house construction is rarely perfect. In fact, I’m not sure there is a square or plumb wall in our house!
However, through it all, Roy, Troy and everyone involved in our project went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the results. Working with New Creations was a marvelous experience. We would recommend them without hesitation. The completed kitchen is even better then we imagined it would be.Read More
Kitchen - Beautiful and Functional! – I Love My Kitchen!
We met Roy and some of his team members at the last home and garden show in August and decided to let him come over and provide us some ideas as to what we could do with our kitchen. We purchased our 17-year old home in 2008 and knew at that time that it needed renovating. The cabinets were ‘golden oak’, 30 inches tall with white laminate counter top covering every available spot. Additionally, the original appliances were still in use!
Roy was much attuned to our schedule and made several evening appointments to meet with us. His suggestions of installing under-counter lights and ceiling can lights (to replace the three fluorescent fixtures – which for some odd reason, I really wanted to keep…), were initially met with resistance, but we folded…
After meeting with Julia and Roy at the design center, we decided on a red mahogany finish over knotty alder cabinets. Julia creatively designed a ‘furniture’ piece of cabinetry and enlarged the island to accompany the shape of the kitchen. I provided design specifications of the appliances I selected to Greg and his team perfectly sized all areas to fit like a glove. Larry, the plumber, and James, the electrician were pleasant and very professional. Trevor, Josh and Troy were always on top of the schedule.
From the time we met with Roy and Julia at the design center, the cabinets and appliances were ripped out and new cabinets and counters were installed, to the final touchups, we were looking at approximately 2 ½ months. This was primarily due to the glass I selected which turned out to not be available locally and had to be special ordered.
The professionalism, courteousness and sensitivity to customer needs of the New Creations team are second to none. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a remodeling effort.
P.S. The can lights we were so hesitant to have installed – we wouldn’t have them any other way!Read More
